KYB's Asia Pacific sales subsidiary, KYB Asian Pacific Corporation Limited, was established in February 2005 as an aftermarket sales office for shock absorber and suspension under the name KYB Asia Co., Ltd. In 2017, KYB Asia Co., Ltd. was merged with KYB Technical Service Center (Thailand) Co., Ltd. Resulting of amalgamation is KYB Asian Pacific Corporation Limited on 3 April, 2017. We have head office located in Bangkok, Thailand and R&D Center in Chonburi, Thailand.

AMATA BRANCH

R&D center is located at Amata Nakorn Industrial Estate in Chonburi, Thailand where the same area as KYB Thailand factory. The center has been certified to ISO 9001:2015. All of machines are certified under Japan quality as well as our engineers. Development process in this R&D center are divided into 3 sections: Design, Inspection and Experiment. Each section has specific machines to inspect suspension parts intensely to meet KYB standard before launching the products to the market.

    • Double Hydraulic StopsKYB and PSA jointly developed a new passive shock absorber, applied initially to the Citroën C5 Aircross. Citroën calls the award-winning system Progressive Hydraulic Cushions.
    • World RallycrossKYB announced a sponsorship agreement with current World Rallycross (WRX) champions. The team already used KYB’s highly sought after electronic power steering when KYB came onboard as a sponsor. After 2 years of development the team also started using KYB dampers. KYB became principle team sponsors in 2020.
    • Intelligent Damping Control LaunchedKYB’s Intelligent Damping Control suspension system is used as original equipment on a selection of prestige vehicles. This smart technology uses a monocamera to analyse the road profile, working with four height sensors and three accelerometers to measure the vehicle’s reactions including speed, braking and steering angle. The control unit continuously calculates the optimum shock absorber settings to mitigate any irregularity and create a unique and smooth driving experience.
